Location and staff were great. Nice view from room, overlooking a little brook. Rooms and interior facilities could definitely use an update though. Our AC was pretty musty smelling.
Do not eat at this restaurant if you have a dietary restriction! Breakfast was included in our room rate. On the first morning we ate breakfast there with my son -- who is severely allergic to milk -- and my brother, who is lactose intolerant. They messed up BOTH of their meals, even though we had been extremely clear with the waitress that they could not have any dairy. They served my brother an omelet with cheese in it. My son's meal first came out with home fries even though the waitress had told us the home fries were prepared with butter. They took the plate back to the kitchen, but they must have just pushed the home fries off the plate, because he got sick after eating just one bite of the omelet. On the second morning we took our son to a different restaurant (obviously) but my brother went back. They served him an omelet with cheese in it AGAIN. (BTW, I never write online reviews, but I feel this one is a public service announcement.)
Good place to stay. Fairly priced. Could definitely use some updating. There was a mix up with our key and we arrived after the office closed,so we almost didn't have a room to stay in. Luckily the key we had was for another empty room. We told. Management the next day and they were apologetic and comped us breakfast which was good! Friendly service and best of all they have pet friendly rooms!
Very pleasant location, but quite remote from the local labour recruitment area. Staff shortages have had a very negative affect on our experiences here. The service can only be described as shocking with long waits initially to get staff attention and then long wait before the food arrived. The meals that we had were OK apart from the burnt fries but we found the annexed rooms clean and comfortable. Concluding I cannot recommend this place because the service in the dining room was totally unacceptable but one waitress deserves our praise since she carried on in the most difficult circumstances manfully trying on her own to do the work that at least 3 people should have been helping with. It disappoints me to give this review but I think it is fair.
We stayed in the back building at Woodwards resort where the indoor pool and game room are located. I found the staff to be very friendly and polite. We have stayed here a few times over the last few years and have always enjoyed our stay. I think the rooms could use a little updating but are clean. I was a little disappointed to find out upon arrival that they didn't offer the AAA discount anymore. We would stay here again and would recommend to anyone traveling to the Lincoln, NH area to check it out!
