The kroo is awesome, the food is great, the bunks are comfy. Beware the snoring neighbor!
Thank you for the staff at this location, they really bailed my group out of a dangerous situation. Our group was running late on the way down the mountain and the sun fading. We only had one tiny phone flashlight. With no money, the staff here gave us a headlamp and offer water and other services. We made it down the mountain and it was pitch dark. We would have been in a lot of trouble if it wasn't for them. I promised them I would come back to repay them, so I'll be back next week.
Wonderful little place. Good food and hot tea. They gave us a little flashlight (from lost & found) as we were descending from the mountain late evening, which came in very handy!
Thankful for the AMC huts! Had a chance to stop in before finishing the loop.
It was a life saver! We actually FORGOT to take water with us during our 8 hr trip. Our four member hiking team is very thankful for such a hospitable place!
